Breathing Techniques Can Influence Risk Of Hypertension

Hypertension or high blood pressure is one of the risk factors for heart problems. Study mentions, good breathing techniques can lower the risk.

The study, published in the journal Cell Metabolism is proving the link between breathing with blood pressure. Both are interconnected through a system of nerves sympathetic dystrophy, i.e. a system that sends a signal to the heart and blood vessels.

In the study, scientists from the University of Melbourne and the Macquarie University observed changes in blood pressure in every breathing. When the respiratory rate of change, alteration of nerve activity that resulted in fluctuations in blood pressure.

"To interrupt the activity between the two groups of neurons, we can dramatically decrease the development of high blood pressure when mature," said Prof. Andrew Allen who did the study, quoted from Medical Xpress.

These findings provide hope to reduce the risk of hypertension, which is currently experienced by 30 percent of the world's population. By regulating the breathing techniques, scientists believe could prevent the occurrence of hypertension in adults.

In numerous previous research, breathing or breathing techniques are conscious that controlled proven can lower the heart rate. It is also often used by Ara professional athletes as well as other sportsmen.
